Please join us for a gathering to wish Jeff well on his new adventure as he moves up the state:(
WHERE: Stone Brewery, Escondido (www.stonebrew.com)
WHEN: Thursday December 27 at 5:00
WHO: Anyone interested in sending Jeff (AKA KOM) off in NCCC style
WHY: Because we like him and we will miss him
Please post a note if you plan to attend:)
For those of you that do not know, Jeff and his wife Carol will be moving within the next month or so. Jeff has been riding with the club (actually riding in front of the club) for several years starting with the regular riders until the long riders recruited him away:) He has been a delight to ride behind, always upbeat, happy and just loves to ride. This is a tuff loss for the club. Then again, maybe the Saturday long rides will be at a more moderate pace:)
Oh feel free to post any good Jeff stories, I am sure he will not mind.....much:)
I will definitely be there, but I wish it wasn't to say "good bye" to Jeff. I have truly enjoyed his smiling face and positive attitude every Saturday morning for the past couple of years. He will be sorely missed and I will always remember him as our "energizer bunny." I don't think he ever has a bad day in the saddle. Jeff, thanks for all the pulls and challenging us to ride faster. You are a terrific person and your new bike club will be very lucky to have you.
Ursula
Jill and I will be there, too. Ditto Ursula's remarks + great dogs, TDF events, etc.!
I'll be there too!
I hope to make it but there is a chance I'm out of town. I'm sure it will be a joyous goodbye to a great club memeber and greater friend. I guess we'll need to road trip up to find some century ride in Jeff's new area or something. BTW - I have first dibs on any art he can't find a way to bring with him.
On a separate note....what is up with Ursala's new screen name: Ursala I Cunneen? There is no I in team...or club for that matter. Is this some royalty play? She won QOM when Jeff won KOM and since he's moving she's just top rider? Does she expect bowing or something...NOT! I suspect it has more to do with her computer issues and couldn't see a voting button or something though.
Maybe she wants to make sure people don't call her... oh, never mind. :-)
Anthony,
I really think you need to get your eyes checked. My name has never, ever, in a million years, been typed as "Ursala." As you can see, or maybe you really can't see, it is spelled URSULA. It originates from Latin. Not that you care and neither do I, but next time spell my name correctly. Listen, I know how to spell your last name and who knows what country that originated from! I do know, but am just saying. To make you happy, I have changed the screen name, as you call it, to Ursula Cunneen. I hope you are satisfied. To continue along that line of thought, why don't you harp on "seanb"'s" screen name??? What in the heck is "seanb?" How do you even pronounce it? Who is he anyway? And why are we responding to his post if we don't know who this "seanb" is. I think "karl-admin" needs to update his screen name too. :D Anthony, you opened up a can of worms, and getting your friends in trouble. ;)
Signed,
U R S U L A

Done, now let's get on-task and give Jeff the send off he deserves.
We will be there too. Unlike the rest of you in the long group Sue and I actually saw Jeff suffer the first few rides he took with the club ;D
Dan and Sue
Will be there, at least at the beginning. Like on all the climbs I've done with Jeff.
Very sorry to hear Jeff is moving; a good guy who'll be missed. I'll be there.
I will be there. The only problem is how I will get home.
BTW, Jeff leaving really stinks.
I'm there...
Oh just saw this here in NC. Jeff, hate I'll not ride with you when I'm out in CA. I missed 2012, but really enjoyed riding with you in 2011 and previous years. Congrats on the new bike back in October.
