Title: Input needed for Sharrows in Carlsbad
Post by: Judy Frankel on April 18, 2013, 07:09:00 PM
We have been asked for input.

If you know of any MAJOR routes through Carlsbad that do not have bike lanes please let us know. We are making a list for the possible addition of Sharrows.

Places we have listed so far are:
•   All the main E/W roads that pass over/under the 5 at the sections that are too narrow for bike lanes including PAR, CVD, Jefferson (north end to Marron), and Chinquapin (including Adams to Park to Kelly along the Lagoon.
•   Carlsbad Village Drive East end from Pontiac to Tamarack through the Eucalyptus grove canyon
•   La Costa Eastbound in the number 2 lane East of El Camino Real to Rancho Santa Fe
Please respond with a description of any other locations that don’t have bike lanes and are heavy use roads.

If possible, please leave your input on the Carlsbad Facebook Page so we have it all in one place.  https://www.facebook.com/BikeWalkCarlsbad?ref=hl

Also, there are now Facebook Pages for Escondido, Vista, San Marcos, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Del Mar, Solana Beach and San Diego.  Please like the pages and contribute.
