Title: Scouting for underutilized tandem
Post by: dgblanco on January 15, 2008, 09:51:39 AM
Do you have or know of a tandem not getting enough road mileage? We have a great program matching blind and visually impaired stokers with sighted captains and tandems.  The purpose is to form teams that will train for and ride the 4th annual 3-day Cycling for Sight ( http://cyclingforsight.org ) tour, Santa Barbara to San Diego in August.  The CFS Tandem Team Training program starts this month; 7 stokers are registered so far.  A few of the teams are in need of a suitable size and style tandem to ride - once a month through July and then the 3-day ride first weekend in August.  Please contact Dave White dwhite7@san.rr.com or 619-881-5765 with resource support or more information.

The Blind Stokers Club (BSC) is now up to 9 teams of unsighted stokers and sighted captains; 18 awesome individuals.  We are currently in search of 2 suitable road tandems (for small captains), for training and then riding the 3-day Cycling for Sight tour 1-3 August 08.  Contact Dave White dwhite7@san.rr.com
