Title: A story about Saturday's regular ride.
Post by: Jeff Reissman on September 28, 2014, 05:04:01 PM
While at the rest stop at the Chevron station I went to the restroom.  On my way out the old woman who was managing the station was looking oddly at all of the bike riders.  I thought she was annoyed because we were all using the restroom and blocking the entrance.  I decided to buy a big bottle of water to share to at least give her some business.  I didn't think I really needed it since I still had one bottle left and it was cool outside.

When I went to pay, the woman began to tell me about how she had been in an accident and was just learning how to walk again and loved what we were doing getting out and riding our bikes.  She wouldn't take any money and gave me the water for free.

As it turned out the second part of the ride was one of the more challenging rides that Robert had ever sent us on.  I drank every drop of water that I had and was thankful that I had refilled my bottles.
