Title: New bike repair stations
Post by: Peter Scott on November 24, 2014, 11:43:48 AM
There's a new strip mall just opened at the corner of Rancho Sante Fe Rd and La Costa Ave, right near my house.

And though they are far from obvious there are two bike repair stations located in the parking lot (I'm hoping the attached photos appear). The one pictured is close to the corner of those roads, the other is a little deeper in the parking lot, and while it might be amazingly coincidental to be within walking distance of these just when you happen to need some help, it's pretty cool that there is at least some people in our car crazy society thinking about the cyclists in the world. Maybe these might pop up elsewhere.

The stands have a place to hang the bike, and are equipped with a fixed pump and a set of common tools (including tire levers) attached with theft proof cables. A pretty cool idea.

Cheers.
