Many of you know that long time bike educator and SD County Bike Coalition member, Kerry Kunsman, died after a tragic accident that occurred on his "bike tour of a lifetime." See this most recent Union Tribune article on Kerry's Ride Home (http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2014/dec/14/bicycle-tour-honors-kerry-kunsman-safe-cycling/).
A sale (and silent auction of unique items) of bike stuff from Kerry Kunsman's bike workshop will take place on Saturday, December 20, from 1-4 PM at 4742 Renex Place, San Diego (https://www.google.com/maps/place/4742+Renex+Pl,+San+Diego,+CA+92117/@32.831828,-117.18522,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x80dc007cd55f4061:0xf83a1b7a82336ed3). (Timed to allow for Saturday morning rides)
As an educator and lifelong bike enthusiast, Kerry has accumulated quite an inventory of Bike Stuff: adult sized bikes and large collection of parts, pieces, tools, and related equipment - touring, commuting, racing, etc.
Some photos of what's available may be viewed here (https://plus.google.com/photos/103249787792464169317/albums/6087281186206066385).
Left overs may be available Sunday beginning at 8:00 AM.
Well, Let me know if there are any left overs? I may be able to use some of these items to support the Transition from Vacuum to bicycle shop.
Thanks,
Greg Pschaida.
The left overs sale was today, Sunday. If there were any of the high-end items left, like the Park truing stand and a number of Brooks saddles still in the box, an SDCBC Board member plans to put them up on eBay. The rest is being boxed up and will reappear at the next Velodrome swap meet.
