Title: December 4th - Santa Ysabel
Post by: Robert Abraham on November 22, 2016, 09:14:50 AM
Comrades!

The next special Sunday ride will be December 4th out of Santa Ysabel. At 39 miles it is on the short side, but it is also a bit challenging and wonderfully fun. We will leave Santa Ysabel at 9 AM. The route climbs up to Wynola, then take Wynola Road into Julian. From Julian we will take Pine Hills / Engineer Road to Lake Cuyamaca. Those that have not ridden this before are in for a treat. It's a scenic back road tucked away in the hills SW of Julian. The route returns to Julian on Highway 79, and then again onto Wynola Road and 79 back to Santa Ysabel.

We'll start from Dudleys, meeting up in the overflow lot on the East side of the building. 30218 CA-78, Santa Ysabel.

I have made some adjustments to the route. We will take Wynola Road all the way out to Banner Grade into Julian, and return the same way. Also, we will regroup in Julian on the way out, and then a regroup/break at Chambers Park on the North East side of lake Cuyamaca.

Pie and coffee at the finish!

I posted my photos from Sunday on my Facebook page. I am still trying to figure out how to get them from my phone into the NCCC photo app. Thanks for a great day, Robert et al!
