Title: Let's Keep This Club Rider On The Road
Post by: kellyjay on May 16, 2008, 06:27:22 AM
Club Riders,
Raleigh needs a temp. ride. We have followed his story here on his Litespeed, which he will be taking to Bill Holland for repairs next week. He unloaded his old red Raleigh last year to get his Litespeed. He will be without a bike for 3-4 weeks. One of my old frames won't work for him, I already tried that!

Hopefully, some club member has an extra 56-58cm collecting dust somewhere that he could borrow for a few weeks. We need him to keep the fast climbers in check on the Saturday rides!

If you don't remember Anthony Long, he is the thin lanky Animal Park dude, lives in Poway, drives the little green pickup and climbs like a breeze!

Let's see what we can do!

Special Haiku for Raleigh

ride to work today
challenge oppressive powers

Raleigh - I've got a classic '83 Pinarello, Columbus SL, Campy Record + friction shifters, too  ;) It's 60 cm, but Nigel Moody, who rode it for a month while visiting from England last Christmas, liked it - or at least he was able to squash us all on the hills and never once complained about having to ride an old bike. If you're interested just mail me - PM this Forum or email roadies@northcountycycleclub.com.

Hi Karl,

I hope you got my private message.  Many thanks to you and Kelly but I think I will take a look at Dave C's bike since it seems more in my size range.
