If you are still riding skinny tires these are the way to go! Folding tires are so much easier to get on and off rims. Also Gatorskins do protect well against getting flats. You do have to check them either after or before every ride and remove any thorns, glass, wire or other debris stuck in them; use tweezers to remove debris. With any tire debris left in the tread will eventually be pushed through to puncture the tube as the tread is worn down, eventually you will get a flat so be sure to clean your tires!
