Title: BACK ON THE BIKE
Post by: Patrick on August 16, 2007, 08:44:05 AM
Hello All

I look forward to riding with you all very soon.  I have been recovering from some injuries the past few months but now I am back on the bike.  In the later part of March I damaged the piriformis muscle in my left hip which put me off the bike until early May.  I then got back on the bike and was inspired to see NCCC on Del Dios highway; you all looked good out there.  Unfortunately a few days later I tore some ligaments in my right ankle which has kept me off the bike from May until this week.

I can tell you that you lose fitness at a rapid rate (and gain weight).  I would like to ride with the club again in the next few weeks.  If any one has a bicycle training recovering regimet that has worked for them I would appreciate any input you may have. I can?t run or jog for a few more weeks but I can ride and swim.

Thanks a lot and I look forward to seeing all again very soon.

Lee, Swami?s?NO WAY; NCCC is a group of great people and very talented riders!  Plus I like Purple.  Congratulations on Palomar that is very impressive.

Hello Lee and NCCC

I am not positive if my fitness level is back.  I have only been on the bike for a couple of weeks after several months off of it.  I didn't see a Monday ride posted but I will show up for the Saturday ride.  It seems pretty flat compared to most NCCC rides and if I have to hang back it is a well traveled route.  See you then.
