Title: Training ride on Sat. 28th to Santa Rosa Plateau
Post by: kellyjay on January 24, 2012, 04:43:28 AM
Join in this Saturday, Jan. 28, for the "Santa Rosa Plateau Permanent" training ride.
A good route check for the upcoming Corona 300K in February.

It's Mike Berry's route of 257K/160mi., that is similar to the Corona 300K Brevet. Coast Hwy. northward & the Santa Ana River Trail to Corona, but loops around Corona instead, before climbing to the Santa Rosa Eco Preserve and down through DeLuz, Fallbrook, Sleeping Indian & SLR Bike Path to the finish.

We'll leave at 06:00, from under the tower/parking lot at Oceanside Train Station.
Non-race pace with several water stops and lunch near Corona.
Partly Cloudy and temps in the high 70's, so dress appropriately.

That looks like an epic ride.
Unfortunately I'll be trying out the Boulevard RR course that day, otherwise I might join you.
