Used Sunset Park's upper lot as a ride start. It is a well maintained, upscale park, with clean bathrooms. Parking seemed ample, with about 100 spaces. The road up to the park is a steep block from Poinsettia Ave to the west, a challenging finish to a hard ride.
I like it because coming from Carlsbad, it is 3.6 miles closer to home, and because I don't like to impose on a private business' "customers only" bathroom.

The Long Roadie ride has been cancelled. The rain is coming, 90% chance starting at 6AM and the percentage chance goes to 100% at 9:00AM.

Is this a 'roadies' ride you're referring to (pace wise)?  I figured official cancellation for Saturday wouldn't come until tomorrow.  I figured on riding tomorrow just in case but looks like this gives me an alternative.

Saturday looks like a washout. Pizza Picnic canceled.

Regular Roadies will ride on Friday instead.

Omg just made the drive to Sunset Park on La Miranda and there is a very steep hill to climb to get to the park if you're riding to the meet up location. Is the address 3337 La Miranda? Seem limited parking as well. I can see why ppl can get lost getting in this park. Not an easy access by car either

If we must meet at a park then at Woodland Park would be better as it is a lot bigger park more parking available also the gradient is flat. Just a suggestion. Sunset Park seems not a good location that is my vote.
