Sunday's Mt. Soledad ride will feature riding southbound through Leucadia, protected by "Bicycles May Use Full Lane" signs, and maybe sharrows if the painting gets done Friday. On the return from climbing Mt. Soledad, we get to use a dedicated bike lane from Leucadia to La Costa. Even if you're not a regular Sunday rider, join us at least for the coast jaunt and turn around wherever you like (but you really might like climbing Mt. Soledad [twice]). We start at Palomar Airport, Yarrow road.

And next time you see Judy Frankel, don't forget to thank her. It was her outrage over Jim Swarzman's 2011 death that started the ball rolling. When she started, she was a real newbie regarding the California vehicle code. It shows what anyone can do, when they're persistent and dedicated.

Woohoo, Judy!

Rode thru that section on Saturday.  Nice pavement, and room for bikes now.

Thank you Judy and all who helped to make this happen.
