Carlsbad Marathon vs Sunday Ride

I live on the course of the Carlsbad marathon and didn't even think about it until driving home from work today.  I think the Sunday ride may be impacted by the marathon course.

We discussed this at the ride last week. The plan is to ride out El Camino to La Costa and head over to the coast from there, which is the southern end of the half marathon. We have done this before. For those starting at Palomar Airport and driving, the recommended approach to the parking lot start is to go just south of Palomar Airport, turn right on Camino Vida Roble (sp?) and then right on Yarrow up to the normal parking area.

Good thing is that the fun part of the ride is messing around Mt. Soledad three times (ok, the third time we only go halfway up).
