North San Diego County Bike Path Closure Info: April 2

Good afternoon,
On Saturday morning  April 2 the bike path along I-5 in Northern San Diego Countyâ€"between Basilone Rd. and Cristianitos Rd.--will be closed between the hours of 6am and 12pm.  The closure is due to the annual Ironman Triathlon event in Oceanside and on Camp Pendleton.  The Old Hwy. 101/Camp Pendleton Bike Path between Las Pulgas Rd. and the southern border of the San Onofre State Park will remain open and operational.

Caltrans will provide passage for bicyclists during the closure utilizing an on-call shuttle service within the closure limits and during the closure times.  The pick-up/drop-off locations will be at the entrance to the bike path at Basilone Rd.  and at the intersection of Avenida del Presidente and Cristianitos Rd. and each location will have a message sign indicating the closure.  For those who are familiar the closure is adjacent to the Trestles beach area.  The number to call the on-call shuttle is 619-385-3267.
