Any riders interested in joining/training for a Team event the last week in March, please take note.
The event is RUSA approved Fleche, 360Km( at least 225 miles) and is self supported in true randonneuring spirit.
The approved route starts in Carlsbad and does one big *** loop. All teams ride different approved routes and all will finish up at Oceanside Pier on Sunday, March 30 at 10:00AM!

Randonneuring is long-distance unsupported endurance cycling. This style of riding is non-competitive in nature, and self-sufficiency is paramount. When riders participate in randonneuring events, they are part of a long tradition that goes back to the beginning of the sport of cycling in France and Italy. Friendly camaraderie, not competition, is the hallmark of randonneuring.

This is more about endurance than speed, as certain rules are in place with control points. It's more like a cross between racing and touring!
If you would like to venture into or train up for  longer distance riding, post up or drop me an email for more info.
More general information can be found online at: http://www.rusa.org/index.html

Hey, be kool and keep the great holiday spirit on the road!
