I forgot to add, if you are a meetup member, please sign in for these rides. If we don't get 4 or 5 members signing up the post will be taken down. It doesn't matter if you actually do the ride just sign up for it.

Paul - It's OK if you want to advertise on Meetup to reach out to people who have never heard of us. However, I hope no NCCC member who reads this thinks they need to sign up, or even register on meetup.com, for our rides. Meetup is designed for groups to organize rides, etc., who don't have a regular communication mechanism, like a website. Since we have a website, members and guests only need to navigate to Roadies, MTB, or Cruisers page, read the ride schedule, and show up - simple. I'm a firm believer in not duplicating information, as you want people to go only to ONE place to stay plugged in.

Someone will need to keep meetup.com notices alive and up to date. Sounds like you're volunteering. I would say, if we don't get new riders via meetup.com within a couple of months, that it is not worth it.

Righto
This is an outreach to people looking for a club ride that may not find our web site. It only takes 3-4 of us to sign in to keep it active. I'm on each week perhaps the other board members (who are meetup members) can take turns checking in. If Diane has a regular time and place she or another cruiser leader will be consistently I'll post that up too.
