I'm kinda diggin the kit Anthony has on in his hospital pic. Perhaps a few more buttons/velcro in the back though.

Lou...

"We have decided that 2013 requires a new NCCC kit! And we need your help.
Anthony Smith, a long rider, has volunteered to lead this task." (-Lou)

So, pink kit?  I think it would go well with the green socks.

I might add that I presume that the people who initially started the thread on the new order and design and have followed up with replies... will volunteer to help Anthony out. Anthony has initiated more work behind the scenes, on his own, than most are even aware of. This is a lot of work and the more the merrier. Plus, each volunteer will get their say. If you don't work or help out, you have no right to grouse when the order comes in and you don't like the new design, the fit, the chamois, the shade of pink, the on-line ordering system, method of delivery, ... So, it's "walk the talk."

The plan is to have one design with alternate coloring. We want the pink ladies in on the design from the beginning  ;)

Karl I love you. Lou is just giving me a bad time.  He'll look really cute in PINK on the tandem  :D
I will help with obtaining a sponsor. And would like to be in on the design.

Lou

I can't see pink. What did she say??? What did she say???  :o

Unable to reach Anthony via email and I have not been added to "the list", so I'll just post my finding here I guess.

Anthony Smith gave me the go-ahead to do a little research into
possibly getting our new 2013 NCCC kit designed with the optimal artistic
taste in mind.

Joe (Joeseph) Yule is a designer of kits.  I found out about him after
I asked some Swami's riders who designed their 2013 kit.
I just got off the phone with Joe.
Charge is 800 dollars for him to design our kit.
We can recommend colors and of course sponsors/logos, he'll make 3 designs
that are all different.  Will show us all three then will make modifications
until we're happy, we choose one design.  His images showing the design will
have a "3D model" computer generated image.

He owns a cycling clothing line (similar to Capo in quality, according to
him) called Stage 1 Cycling.  So instead of using Voler or Pactimo (for
example) to make our clothing for us we could use him directly.  That way
the 800 dollar fee would be "absorbed" by the clothing fees.  I asked him
which clubs use Stage 1 Cycling for their kits and he listed several clubs,
mostly in the Midwest or near the Los Angeles area (I think he's from LA or
thereabouts).  I did not recognize any clubs down here that use Stage 1
Cycling for their clothing.  Might be a gamble without knowing more.

However, here is what Swami's did for 2013 kits.  They used Joe to design
their kit and they use Capo (I think) for their clothing manufacture.
The 2013 Swami's kit is hands-down the best kit I've seen on the road.
I have a feeling that if we use Joe to design our kit and then use a
manufacturer such as Capo (don't know how expensive that would be), we'd
have a good-looking kit.

As long as the shorts are (mostly)black...

I'm curious to know what's wrong with the current kit. It's pretty nice, basic, good design. I was happy with the ordering system and I like Voler stuff. Capo is nice and I'm willing to spend the extra money with them as long as we get a full fit kit. I'll go ahead and put it out there now - I vote no for Canari. They seem to use crap fabrics. Also, unless we are looking for a full redesign of kit, including a new club logo and color scheme, 800$ seems steep to me, especially if he only takes recommendations, not specifications, on colors and logos.  I'm going to check in on a few possible sponsors this weekend, and I'm willing to help out on design, but my aesthetics in kit might be a bit old fashioned. IMO, the jerseys we had made up for SDR last year are the best looking kit on the road.

Nerius, I did recieve an e-mail from you however not as detailed, as your posting. Thanks for the research, good job (I will grab the details from the posting).

robertkat, I agree that shorts should be mostly black.

But I *ahem* [without wanting to insult anyone that may have had a part in the design] don't think the current NCCC kit is the best looking on the road.  *ahem*

Although I haven't had my kit on lately, I know I've had a number of folks say they thought our kit was one of, if not the best, looking kits out there.  Just say'n and I (may have no taste) tend to agree but I have 2 sets of the current and can't wait to see the masterpiece which will be put together.

I do wonder though, how many cooks do we currently have in the kitchen?

Anthony, if you need additional helpers ( I'll chop the veges or take the trash out) let me know.  As my wife can attest to, I can't cook anyway and I take orders well.

I endorse whatever Anthony Smith thinks is best. I trust his judgement.

Of more concern is Anthony Scozzari's cooking skills. I think it's clear we can only trust one Anthony with the job :)

I hope that a new vendor will be seriously looked at.  Agreeing with Anthony that we DO need a better quality bib!  I am a firm believer in Pactimo and as I mentioned to Lou via Email, would be happy to facilitate the contract/purchases.
