Cruiser Long Riders - Imperial Beach Century for Saturday, September 28, 2013

Hello All,

Happy Friday.  Another exciting ride for tomorrow morning.  You can ride one way or round trip or choose to Coaster back.

Depart from Oceanside Harbor at 7 a.m. (meet in the parking across Joe’s Crab Shack â€" under the over pass)
Ride to Torrey Pines â€" take a break at the State Park
Continue to Rose Canyon Bicycle Path
Regroup in Old Town â€" 39 miles (Those taking the Coaster back Adult $5.50 & Senior (60+ $2.75) Saturday departures are

12:33 p.m.
3:25 p.m.

Those that are going to Imperial Beach will continue to W Broadway to catch the Coronado Ferry (buy round trip ticket) $8.50
Continue to Imperial Beach for lunch at Jalisco's Cafe - 55 miles.

Then return same route = 110 miles

What to bring:

ID
Money & Credit Card  (sometimes the coaster/sprinter machines don’t take money)
Water Bottles
Bicycle (Front wheel & Back wheel)
Extra Tubes & CO2 cartridges & Bike pump
Bike Lock
Sunscreen
Snacks


Please take note of route mileage and know your limits… These are No Drop Rides, but if you are unable to complete the ride, you will have to plan for someone to pick you up at your location.

We had a split group starting out from the Oceanside Harbor and picked up another rider at La Costa Ave. Great ride to Torrey Pines and some headed back.  Three of us continued on to Old Town and then Bob rode back home.  Barry and I continued south and took the ferry over to Coronado.  Continued on to the Silver Strand Bicycle Path to Imperial Beach. Took a break for lunch and then continued on the bike path through Chula Vista back north to the Oceanside Harbor.  Great ride 109.75 miles. What a great riding day!  Got a flat just as we rode into the harbor - LUCKY ME... Peg
