NCCC takes the lane

I uploaded some videos from Sunday's NCCC Mt. Soledad ride to the Photo Gallery > 2013 folder. These are more educational than entertaining. The camera stayed on to capture any harassment by motorists or law enforcement - hence these segments are pretty long, ~3 minutes. Happily, all cars swung easily around the group, no honks or yells, and we stayed grouped in order to shorten the pack and our use of the lane. There are a few "door zonies" to catch and stop signs handled pretty much as you would in a car (a few mild rolls). Twas a cloudy day so we missed the spectactular views at the cross and the La Jolla Mesa descent.
The direct links are:
1. Southbound Leucadia sharrows - N. of Leucadia Blvd
2. South of Leucadia Blvd
3. Solana Beach green-highlighted "sharrows"
5. Mt. Soledad climb - middle
6. Mt. Soledad - John and Nigel pulling at the top
7. Regroup at the cross
8. La Jolla Scenic / La Jolla Mesa descent - don't hug right at high speed.
9. Sharrows northbound downtown Encinitas - pretty good stops
10. Northbound sharrows - south Leucadia
11. Northbound Leucadia - sharrows to WIDE bake lane.

enjoy...

Thanks Karl,  These were great.  Where I have had several problems are the campground + flat where we ride to avoid the "door". Have already seen two accidents there over the years.  We have had Highway Patrols loudspeaker us to move over to the right..... The second time, I just yelled out, "Avoiding Doors", and kept on riding ~ Peg
