NCCC Bylaws Update - Holiday Party Dec 10, 2014

Save the date December 10 for this year's NCCC Holiday Party. One item of business at the Annual Meeting that night is to ratify some minor updates to the bylaws. Click here for the update version, changes indicated in the right margin. Read before the meeting and if you have issues, please comment here so the vote can be quick at the meeting, so we can focus on partying.

Nice job of generalizing Board nomination and voting procedures and policy to keep the bylaws maintainable (Article V Section 2). It seems like we should also have the "Board of Directors Selection Term Procedures and Policy" to also review to accept the change. Could we also attach that here?

Attached is the policy and procedures document that President Peg put together, describing the Board of Directors term, nominating and voting procedures. This is broken out separately from the Bylaws as these may change occasionally and it shouldn't take a full Bylaws update to change 'em. Note that, in addition to changes in address for NCCC, that the term has been extended to two years, based on the motion at the 2013 Annual Meeting. Heck, maybe we should make it 4 yrs, 8yrs, life? Any comments from our lawyer members?
