Hello Friends,

The T de PS is back again, as it always is, on February 7, 2026.

I've ridden this ride a countless number of times and it's quintessential desert riding,
with snow capped mountain and desert views.  It offers Dillon Rd., one of the best riding
roads in the area, with fun rollers to boot.  I believe it's worth the drive--less than
two hours to a fun time. Although the ride isn't cheap, NCCC has been given a 20% off
registration coupon (it's a charity ride, btw).  You could drive there, do the ride, and
drive home in the same day, saving time and money in the process.

There are quite a few NCCC riders who have already signed up and we'll start the ride
together in our new jerseys!  If you'd like to take advantage of the discount, pm/email
me.  https://tourdepalmsprings.com/

Years ago we would regularly have 30-40 NCCC riders at TdPS. Dave White (now Blind Stokers Exec Dir) would even arrange rooms for extra social stuff. Dave and Jim Hutchings blazed it on a tandem once, dragging everyone down Dillon. This is your chance to average 20 mph for a century. Great idea, Steve.

I registered with the coupon that Steve sent me. Note that they recommend insurance ($8) if something comes up. They also have the capability to transfer your registration to another person if you run into an unexpected schedule conflict.

I've only done it once. I wasn't in love with the 100mi route last year. But it looks like they've changed it! https://ridewithgps.com/routes/52894330

Is this new? I also don't remember there being an 88mi option either last year. But maybe I was just not looking.

Last year's route was an anomaly, due to flood construction and other factors. The original route is back!  The century portion from mile 40-75 is just a mileage gut fill (similar w/the 88 miler), so I typically avoid that rectangular portion and just head on back. Still, with warm weather and light winds, this is one of the best rides in Socal, IMO.
