Starting a new thread so it's more clear.

A bunch of us from NCCC are doing the Temecula Valley Century on Oct 8 (http://www.temeculavalleycentury.com/).  I think so far it's me, Ursula, Anthony Smith, Frank, and Jeff B.

According to Chip: "For those of you that haven't signed up yet, you can enter this code for $10 off registration.  Also note that registration goes up $20 after this Friday the 9th.  TVELOSPECIAL  - is the code and it is case sensitive."

I also read this on their registration page, which sounds really good:  "REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES... Mid-Ride Lunch (For 103 mile Century Registered riders only provided by Wiens Family Winery)"

I'm in and the TVELOSPECIAL code worked great. I owe you a beer, Chip!
Karl

I'm in too and will be following behind probably.  See you at the SAG stops if I get dropped during the monster pulls!

Jim Sander

I'm signed up as well. Has anyone figured out how to download the route(Garmin 500)?

Jim S.

Thanks for the link to sign up with the discount.   :)

For those of us doing the Temecula Valley Century on October 8th might I suggest NCCC meet at 6:45 (for the 7:00 start) at the corner of Juniper Street and Adams Avenue approximately one block from the start. We can pedal to the start together and at least begin the ride as a team :)

Thoughts?

...And finish as a team and even celebrate after the ride as a team.  ;D

MapMyRide is bugging the hell out of me.  I can't figure out how to get the "elevation profile" where you see in a graphical line all the uphills and downhills.

So from this page: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/38287892

What do I click on this page to get the elevation profile?  So friggin annoying.

karlos

I see it no problem as a graph right under the map on the link in your post. It is visible for  me with browsers Google Chrome on linux and firefox on Win 7. What browser and OS do you use? You can see real details if you click on 'Detailed Climb Data' on the lower right corner of the map.

Right.  Tried a different browser and OS and it works.  I think the elevation profile requires stupid Flash.

karlos

Flash may be stupid, but it is everywhere, and one instance where Apple may be shooting itself in the foot.

While there wasn't a king of the mountain this year, there was a Queen. Congratulations Ursula!!!

But Anthony, you were VERY close to top dog on both climbs. You easily got NCCC KOM. Congrats for the impressive effort!
