I got a note about the forecast for this weekend out in Pine Valley / Mt Laguna / Julian. The concern was the cloudiness and chance of rain, high in high 40's in Julian on Saturday, which was true earlier and it has changed during the day. However, the forecast for SUNDAY appears to be much better. Weather Underground shows a high of 59, partly cloudy and no rain. Looking at Accuweather, one sees a high of 59, mostly sunny and 1% chance of rain during the day. The Pine Valley forecasts are about the same, as well as the top of Mt Laguna, except temperatures at 5-7 deg cooler at 6,000 ft elevation.

At this point, I see no reason to even consider canceling this ride favorite. However, I will continue to monitor, so please check this Forum Sat eve for any redirection. I expect none. Having recently ridden in Vermont, we are incredibly lucky to be riding in the kind of weather we have in Nov - even if in the 40's and slightly drizzly, which I don't think we need to fret about.

Stay tuned - Karl

There's an attitude I can get behind! Should be a great weekend of late-season riding!

Weather forecast looks even better today. Even on top of Mt Laguna, high 50's through the morning hours when we'll be there. There is basically no wind tomorrow, unlike today where it was about 12 deg cooler and rainy. Tomorrow shall be a great fall ride. I plan to be there at 8am for some breakfast at Major's.
