Hi All

Just to let you know I am fine and have added to my road and trail rash scar collection (beats a tatoo).

I like to thank everyone today for being so kind and helpful after I crashed - you really are a great bunch.

I thought better of trying to do the full route - went down College to the Longs at Oceanside Blvd and patched my self up a bit.  Left my bike with the check out guy - skate boarder so I got lots of sympathy and a BOGOF on the antiseptic.

Julia came a picked me up and we went to intremediate care at Kaiser - they did a real good job of cleaning  everything up with some strange yellow scubbing pad!!! I am nice a neatly bandaged but in no real pain - just a liitle sore.

Fortunately I had recently had a tetanus ( a thought for you all - keep it up to date).

We are off to the UK for the summer again this year so I will see you mid Sept.

Oh Yeah - Does any one know the place Jeff said you can report bad road conditions so I can try and get that groove I ran into cleared up!!  I know Jeff mentioned something the other week.  Or have Jeff's E mail address.

Hi Doug,  sorry to hear about your accident if it was in the city of Oceanside go to www.ci.oceanside.ca.us or call 760.435.4500.  If it is another city they should have a web page in the city's name.  Dolores

Doug,
Sorry I missed the acrobatics. I hear that the scrapes you recieved are now known in the road cycling community as "tattoos". So I  guess you can say that you received a "Vista Tattoo". Keep 'em clean and let 'em breathe. Great excuse to wear shorts. Have a safe vacation. See you on your return.
