Does anyone have a recommendation for an e-bike?  I'd like to be able to ride with the Clippers/Cruisers with it.  I'd prefer something not too heavy.  Any experience welcome.

there are many diff. kinds of e-bikes. my wife rides a specialized turbo vado sl 5.0 eq for various reasons, some/all of which may work for you (or not). i would suggest doing your own research and then go on test rides at local bike shops to see what works for you.

I second Steve's remark. Today, anything you can buy in a standard bike is available with motor. So Road, Gravel/Hybrid, Mountain, City bikes; carbon or aluminum; manual or electric shifting; rim or hub brakes (but most have discs due to added weight); single or dual chain rings etc etc.
In the club we have two Orbea (from Bike Bling Escondido) and several Trek, which had a good stock a couple of weeks ago. All are good for our usual 25 and 40 mile rides.
