Hi,

I received an e-mail from a woman today via our roadies e-mail address (I get those e-mails) who is a researcher and writer and says she has ridden with us. She plans to show up at OCRR tomorrow with a client who wants to interview cyclists about car bicycle racks. She asked if it would be okay and I couldn't think of any reason why not, so told her yes. I did let her know that this kind of thing usually works better with more planning, but I guess this is the only opportunity they have. Below is the original e-mail she sent me. If anyone is interested in helping them out, her plan is to show up at 8:00 am just to introduce herself, and then they will come back at 11:00 and wait around for riders to come back to chat with anyone interested in providing information.   Lisa Ruby

"My name is Julie Kelly and I have had the chance to ride with NCCC a few times in the past few years.  I've always felt welcomed and comfortable by the club.

I am wondering if it's possible for me to stop by at tomorrow's rides at OCRR and see if any members of the club would be willing to share their opinions about bicycle racks.  I am a freelance researcher and writer, and have just learned that a client is going to be in town.  He would like to interview cyclists about roof and hitch racks.  It's obviously very short notice, but I thought of NCCC first.

We'd like to buy bagels and coffee and informally chat with people in the parking lot - and of course, we'll clean up after ourselves"
