Hello Everyone.  Please take a moment to read the letter below and perhaps you can provide assistance!

I?m doing it again! I signed up for another 100 mile bike ride with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society?s Team in Training (TNT). This time I will be riding with TNT in America?s Most Beautiful Bike Ride around Lake Tahoe, on June 1, 2008.  This year our honored teammate is an 11 year old boy named Austin. Austin should be out playing like any other 11 year old boy. Instead, he spends his days in hospital rooms experiencing things that no 11 year old child should have to experience. This disease will affect over 100,000 lives this year and is the leading cause of death in children between the ages of 1 and 14.  I can't do the research necessary to help Austin and other children, but I certainly can help raise the money that will fund that research.

I set a goal to raise $3,500 and have already reached over 45% of my fundraising goal!!  I still have a long way to go.   In sponsoring me, 75% of your contributions will go directly to research and patient services. In case you are not familiar with Team in Training and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Societ: ?The Society has been rated by "Money Magazine" as one of the top ten charities for having the highest percentage of funds raised to directly benefit research and family services.? Once I reach my goal of $3,500, 100% of every dollar I have raised goes directly to fund the research that will help change the way these diseases are treated and even help cure them. For instance, because of the fundraising done by Team in Training, patients with certain types of the blood diseases are now being treated by taking a pill ? 1 PILL ? instead of going through chemotherapy!!

So, while I do time trials up the Torrey Pines grade and start the real training for the Tahoe Century ride, please consider contributing to the LLS. This disease will affect over 100,000 lives this year and is the leading cause of death in children between the ages of 1 and 14.

**You can make a donation directly on my webpage - http://www.active.com/donate/tntsdh/tntsdhFKissel1 (remember that all donations are tax deductible!) I will be notified as soon as you make your donation.

**If you prefer to donate by check, please make the check payable to ?The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society? (or LLS) and mail it to me at 1513 San Jose St., Oceanside, CA 92058. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's tax ID is 13-5644916.

**If you can't make a money donation, help me by forwarding this email to everyone you know. You'll be amazed what people will give if you just ASK!
(1) Please place this somewhere in your office for other members of your office to contribute.
(2) Please consider being a corporate sponsor for our team.  For just a $1,000 contribution, your company?s will be on all of TNT?s ride day jerseys!
(3) Ask your family and friends to help out.
(4) Ask your company of they have a matching donation program.  If so, your contribution will be doubled!

My goal is to meet 75% of my fundraising by February 29, 2008, so please try to send your donations by that time. If you can?t make that date, don?t worry, I will take donations after that date!

Thank you for any support you can provide!

Fern Kissel
