Harrison Family Support:
Kudoz to Lee S. for leadout on support for the family of Shawn Harrison. As many of us remember that day last June, when the regular NCCC riders were doing a Jeff "Time Trial" from Country Club Lane to Rainbow along that same route. On the return trip, many of us riders encountered the accident scene just minutes after it happened on Old Hwy 395/Lilac Road. The family needs all our support now please.

Century Training Series:
Century Training on NCCC Saturday rides is a great idea. Thanks to Jeff Gross for organizing this each month. Don't be discouraged by my incident on the return leg of the first Century Training Ride. : Jeff is proving the mantra: " Longer is better"!

Kelly 4-Week Update:
One month ago, I was doing the First Century Training Ride. WOW , time moves right along. I'm home now, hammering my self-imposed exercise routine daily. Off the blood thinner, Coumadin, several weeks early. Still using the "Figure-8: brace for the busted up shoulder and getting around on crutches now. Stairs are a real bummer. The screws in the hip seem to be holding well and recent X-Rays show all systems go.
Thanks to Joe M. over to Performance who hooked me up with a disgruntled BasicTrainer for cheap. I cobbled together some MTB parts on Ben's old Trek 1100 frame, Joe's 105 Crankset and some old freewheel rims. The set-up doesn't fit perfect, but it's good enough to get me spinning for now.
I got my  "steel is real Bianchi" back. It had a busted up pedal, flat fr. tire, ripped seat, bar tape rash and the front derailleur is a little wacko, among other things. I need to do a little work on this project soon.
So all is well here, and it won't be long I'll be showing up at the Saturday & Sunday NCCC rides to act as "sweeper" at the back again.

Thanks to all of you for your support.
See you on the road soon.
