RAAM 2018 Start Escorts Needed

Hi Everyone,

The 2018 Race Across America begins from the Oceanside Pier in Oceanside next week.  As has been a tradition for many years, cyclists who are interested and can maintain a pace of less than 20 MPH on the SLR River Trail (with a likely tailwind) are welcome to ride along with solo or team members for the 8 mile parade start from the pier to College Blvd. where the racers are released for the remaining 3000 or so miles to the finish in Annapolis.
You can help by advising them not to go too fast (if they get to College in less than 25 minutes, they will be stopped, so there is no advantage in going faster).

RAAM RAW and Solos start Tuesday, June 12 at 12 noon at the Pier.  The RAAM teams start on Saturday, June 16th at noon
