Since we're not doing group rides and I know you love your bike(s), just a reminder of the free service at https://bikeindex.org. I recently registered my new bike there because the shop had it set up to do that automatically and I just transferred ownership to me (only 5 shops in SD County do that for you). Anyway, it's easy to set up a free account there and put in all the info.

Why? My good friend Sylvie, Programs Manager at the Bike Coalition, recently had 4 bikes stolen from her home. The only one recovered was the ONE she had registered at https://bikeindex.org - also the coolest bike, a vintage celeste Bianchi . This service has claimed to recover over $14M worth of bikes. Anyway, I went ahead and registered the rest of the bikes in my garage (eight). Besides the serial numbers and a stock photo, it is recommended to take a photo standing next to the bike to help anchor you as the owner.

Let's hope noone needs it, but years ago, I had 3 precious bikes taken out of my garage. I plan to hang onto my favorites 8)
