Snot Rockets/Spitting/Coughing aerosols revisited

Previous topic - Next topic
The vast majority of us would never sneeze or blow a snot rocket into someone's face deliberately but that is exactly what is happening when our riding buddies blow snot rockets / spit around us.  This is not a topic I enjoy bringing up but it's too important to ignore - it's not just about covid but any nasty virus.  I don't think anyone wants to get sick; especially outside while riding our bike with our friends.

Unfortunately it is happening and I'm cringing and trying to ditch out into the road away from cyclists doing this.  Not everyone reads this forum and I hate to put it onto our volunteer ride leaders' shoulders but somehow the message needs to get out there to stop cyclists on our group rides from spewing out their aerosols.

FWIW: a pic of snot rocket aerosol - but sneezing and spitting create the same:

Thanks for the reminder, Beth. NO snot rockets, sneezes, etc. anywhere in front of another rider are also explicit in our COVID guidelines, but c'mon, this always applies. Slip to the back to blow, please.
