A cyclists 4th celebration

More than 50 riders lined up for the mass start of our July OneClub  ride celebrating Independence Day on July 1 and about sixty sat down for lunch including non riding members and guests. Following lunch Sean introduced our new club kit supplier offering a very wide range of kit and highly flexible delivery. Independence Day Celebration, picnic & OneClub Ride

The NCCC "4th of July" Picnic this year will be on Saturday July 1st. We will begin with a OneClub ride starting at 8:00 am from Stagecoach Community Park 3322 Camino De Los Coches, Carlsbad, CA 92009 Cruisers and Clippers, note: 8:00 am ride start! FIRST - We ride as ONE CLUB with all groups rolling out together at 8:00 am and riding as ONE CLUB to Encinitas Community Park. There we regroup and go on our various rides; check the home page for your options. SECOND - We meet back at Stagecoach Park for a picnic at around 11:30 to noon. Photos of April’s OneClub ride & pizza

More than fifty NCCC riders assembled on Saturday April 29th for the first OneClub ride of the year. The initial eleven miles followed a moderate pace, one that your club VP could achieve on a bike without e- assist. After a brief stop and re-group at Guajome Park, four groups set off on different routes with the objective of arriving in time for warm pizza: 50/45/41/36 miles. Amazingly, this objective was largely achieved; not only did most riders arrive at Dos Desperados around midday but so did three huge (28”) pizzas. Call for Board Candidates

Each year club members elect Board members, one third in even numbered years and two thirds in odd numbered years. For 2023, three members continue to serve and up to six members will be elected for a two year term starting in January 2023. This is a call for candidates who are interested to serve on the NCCC Board and take part in steering the direction of the club. Membership Rate for 2023

Friday evening's club gathering wasn't just a party, it was also the club’s annual membership meeting. Due to rising expenses, most prominently our insurance premium, the board proposed to hold the membership rate at $20 but eliminate the senior rate. The members present passed the motion unanimously. Additional family members will be $10 each. The new rates start on January 1, 2023.
