Long Roadies

Saturday’s Ride

Jan 10: Shorter, Flatter Variation
54 / 3750 route

START: Cerro de Las Posas Park
8:00 AM
A little easier to prep for Temecula with Ursula

Sunday Monthly Ride

Jan 11: A ride to Temecula
65 / 5200 route

START: Park & Ride at I-15 & 76 (north end)
8:30 AM
This will be a casual and easy tempo ride. For those of you who want to ride faster and press ahead, feel free. There are a few sneaky dirt roads on this route. Break: mile 46 that has a Starbucks, Mexican food & pizza. This break will be longer since pizza is calling my name. Will have to wing a nature break prior to this longer break.

Sign up for an upcoming Sunday!

Long Roadies

Long Roadies rides are 50-60+ miles long. There are strong riders in both the Roadies and Long Roadies but Long Roadies ride for a longer time.

Rolling speeds are 16-20 mph, while average speeds for the whole ride are 13-16 mph depending on terrain. We are not a “racing” oriented club. If someone really is too slow we make sure they know where they are and how to get back to the start. Routes are planned using RideWithGPS and the “route map” link for each ride goes to the route where you can view, download to a GPS navigation device, or print a cue sheet.

Please introduce yourself when you come out on a ride. Visitors will be required to sign the NCCC Liability Waiver. Riders are expected to follow the NCCC Rules of Etiquette on all club rides. Also of interest is this CyclingSavvy course on club riding. Send questions regarding Roadies rides to Ursula at roadies@northcountycycleclub.com. Thanks to Sean for planning the Long rides.

FYI: e-bike policy is described here. Contact your ride leader before bringing a bike with electric assist to a club ride.

The NCCC Liability Waiver can be found here.
